Dr. Aristotelis Mavrommatis is a graduate of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in Civil Engineering with specialization in Hydraulics.

He holds MSc degree in Coastal Zone Management from the NTUA Interdisciplinary Post-graduate Programm «Water Resources Science and Technology» and he has fulfilled his PhD Thesis at the School of Civil Engineering at NTUA.

His research work focuses on experimental research on open channel flow with simulated vegetation and has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international conferences.
